Terms of Use

Draft pending legal review: these terms were drafted by the platform team and will be reviewed by legal counsel before the official launch. Any changes after review will be published as a new version with its effective date. This English version is provided for reference only; if it differs from the Traditional Chinese version, the Traditional Chinese version prevails.

Welcome to Green Island GO, the Green Island smart tourism digital platform (the "Platform"). The Platform is operated by Connectech Co., Ltd. (the "Company"). By making a booking or logging in with your LINE or Google account, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not make a booking or log in.

1. Services

  • The Platform provides information about local stores on Green Island, online booking, booking notifications and AI customer service, and helps you get in touch with stores.
  • The Platform is an intermediary for bookings. Accommodation, diving and snorkeling, vehicle rental, dining and activity services are provided by the stores, and the stores are responsible for the service content, prices and performance.
  • The Platform does not currently offer online payment. Please settle fees on site or by the method specified by the store.

2. Booking rules

  • A submitted booking is "awaiting store confirmation" and is established only after the store confirms it. The store may also decline it because of availability or other reasons, and the Platform will notify you of the result.
  • The number of guests in a booking is limited to the remaining capacity of that time slot. For large groups, please contact the store directly.
  • The booking completion page shows a booking management link once. You can use it to view the booking, change the time slot or number of guests, or cancel the booking within the deadline set by the store. The management link contains an access token unique to you and is shown only this once, so please keep it safe and do not forward it to others.
  • If you change the time slot or number of guests of a confirmed booking, it returns to "awaiting store confirmation".
  • Even after confirmation, a store may cancel a booking because of weather, force majeure or other reasons, and the Platform will notify you.
  • Booking notifications and pre-trip reminders are sent via LINE, email or SMS depending on your contact details.

3. Accounts and LINE or Google login

  • Logging in with a LINE or Google account is not required to use the Platform. After you log in, the bookings you make afterwards are linked to your account. If you log in with LINE, you can receive booking notifications via LINE; if you log in with Google, booking notification emails are sent first to the email address in your account that was verified by Google.
  • The Platform receives only your LINE user ID, display name and profile picture, and never accesses your friend list or chat history.
  • When you log in with a Google account, the Platform receives only your Google account ID, name, profile picture and email address verified by Google, and never accesses your Google contacts, email content or data in other Google services. The Platform does not use email addresses to identify or merge accounts, and each Google account can be linked to only one account.
  • Please keep your device and your LINE and Google accounts secure. You can log out, or unlink your LINE or Google account, on the "My account" page; after unlinking, you will be logged out on all devices. If you unlink the only login method of your account, you will no longer be able to log in to that account; logging in again with the same LINE or Google account creates a new account, and your earlier bookings will not appear in it.

4. Accurate information and prohibited conduct

  • Please provide an accurate contact name, mobile number and email address at which you can be reached, so that the store and the Platform can fulfil your booking and notify you.
  • You may not impersonate others, provide false information, repeatedly or massively create bookings you do not intend to honor, or access the Platform in bulk using automated programs.
  • The Platform limits how often you can make bookings, log in and perform similar actions. If you exceed the limit, the system will temporarily reject your requests; please try again later.
  • If you violate this section, the Platform may cancel the related bookings or restrict your use of the Platform.

5. AI customer service and content

  • Answers from "Ask the AI assistant" on store pages and from AI customer service are generated by artificial intelligence based on information provided by the store. They may be incomplete or inaccurate, and the store's confirmation always prevails; please confirm important matters directly with the store.
  • Before AI customer service officially launches, the chat page offers only demo conversations and does not record anything you type.
  • You can leave your contact details on the chat page to ask the store to contact you; the details you leave are used only to respond to that inquiry.

6. Intellectual property

  • The Platform's interface, software, text and images are protected by copyright law and may not be reproduced, distributed or used commercially without authorization.
  • Photos of the demo stores were collected from public web pages and are used only for demonstrations and training; the source of each photo is listed on the "Photo credits" page.
  • Rights to photos and content uploaded by stores belong to the stores or the original copyright holders.

7. Personal data

The collection, processing and use of your personal data by the Platform are governed by the "Privacy Policy and Personal Data Notice". The Platform records the version of the notice you agreed to when you submit a booking.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

  • Stores are responsible for the quality, safety and performance of the services they provide. The Platform does not guarantee the content or performance of store services, but will help you get in touch with the store.
  • The Platform strives to keep its services stable but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Company is not liable for compensation when the Platform is temporarily unavailable because of system maintenance, force majeure or outages of third-party services (such as LINE, Google or email services), except where the Company acted intentionally or with gross negligence.
  • To the extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for indirect losses or lost profits arising from your use of the Platform.

9. Changes to these terms and versions

The version of these terms is their effective date. If these terms are changed, a new version will be published on this page, and earlier versions remain available in the version history on this page. When you make a booking or log in after a change, the version published at that time applies.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Both parties agree to first seek to resolve any dispute arising from these terms or the use of the Platform through good-faith negotiation. If litigation is necessary, the district court where the Company is located shall be the court of first instance, unless otherwise provided by the Consumer Protection Act or other laws.

11. Contact us

Connectech Co., Ltd. (Green Island GO platform operations team). The contact email address will be published on this page before the official launch; until then, you may ask the store you booked with to pass on your message, and we will contact you as soon as possible.

Merchant Terms

Draft pending legal review: these terms were drafted by the platform team and will be reviewed by legal counsel before the official launch. Any changes after review will be published as a new version with its effective date. This English version is provided for reference only; if it differs from the Traditional Chinese version, the Traditional Chinese version prevails.

These terms apply to store owners and staff who join the merchant console of Green Island GO, the Green Island smart tourism digital platform (the "Platform"), by invitation (together, the "Store"). The Platform is operated by Connectech Co., Ltd. (the "Company"). A store member must tick the box to agree to these terms when accepting an invitation, and the Platform records the version of the terms and the time each member agreed.

1. Accounts and members

  • Merchant console accounts log in with the invited email address and a password you set yourself, and a login session lasts at most 7 days. Please keep your password secure and do not share your account with others.
  • Members are either owners or staff. Owners can invite, change or remove members, and each store must keep at least one owner. When a member leaves or no longer helps run the store, the owner should remove that member's account promptly.
  • Account logins and write operations in the console are recorded in audit logs (including the time, the member and a hash of the IP address) for security audits and dispute handling.

2. Accuracy of store information and content

  • The Store must keep the store description, business information, products, prices, available time slots and FAQs entered in the console accurate and up to date, and is responsible for that content.
  • The AI writing assistance provided by the Platform only produces drafts; the Store must check the content before publishing it. AI customer service answers travelers based on information provided by the Store, so if the Store's information is inaccurate, AI answers may also be inaccurate.
  • The Store may not publish content that is false, misleading, infringes the rights of others or violates the law.

3. License to photos and content

  • When uploading photos, text or other content, the Store must make sure it has the legal right to use them.
  • The Store grants the Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use such content to the extent needed to provide the Platform, including reproducing and publicly displaying it on store pages, in search results, on the LINE mini site, in social sharing preview images, in AI customer service answers and in results reports of the government-funded project. The license lasts until the Store deletes the content or stops using the Platform, except for results reports that have already been submitted.
  • During the demo period, the Platform created demo store pages with photos collected from public web pages and lists the source of each photo on the "Photo credits" page; the Store may replace them with its own photos in the console at any time.

4. Responsibility for travelers' personal data

  • Traveler data obtained in the console (the booking contact's name, mobile number, email address and notes, member lists and referral contact details) may be used only to fulfil the booking and provide related customer service, may not be used for any other purpose, and may not be given to third parties.
  • The Store may not send marketing messages to travelers before they have separately agreed to receive them. The Platform enforces this restriction in the system, and the Store may not circumvent it by other means.
  • After exporting booking data from the console, the Store must keep the exported files secure and delete them when they are no longer needed.
  • If the Store discovers that traveler data may have been leaked, altered or misused, it must notify the Company immediately and cooperate with the investigation and with notifying the travelers.
  • When a traveler asks the Store to exercise rights such as inquiry, correction or deletion of personal data, the Store must forward the request to the Company and help handle it. For the notice the Platform gives travelers, see the "Privacy Policy and Personal Data Notice".

5. Bookings and traveler service

  • The Store must confirm or decline travelers' bookings within a reasonable time and keep available time slots consistent with actual capacity.
  • If a confirmed booking must be cancelled, the Store must cancel it in the console and enter a reason, and the Platform will notify the traveler.
  • Data such as the time the Store takes to confirm bookings and the number of completed bookings is used for the Platform's operational statistics and project results reports.

6. LINE Official Account integration

  • The Store may connect its own LINE Official Account in the console. The Platform stores the channel credentials provided by the Store in encrypted form and uses them only to send booking notifications to travelers, send automatic replies and set up rich menus.
  • Plans, message quotas and fees for the LINE Official Account are governed by LINE's rules and are borne and managed by the Store.

7. Project results and data use

The Platform is the pilot platform of a government-funded project. The Store agrees that the Company may provide the Store's operational data, such as onboarding progress, training attendance, publishing status, booking volume, response time and traffic, at the store level or in aggregate to the competent authority of the project for results reports. Data provided to the authority does not include travelers' names, phone numbers or email addresses.

8. Suspension and ending use

  • If the Store violates these terms, provides false information or may harm travelers' interests, the Company may suspend the Store. While suspended, the Store is no longer shown to travelers, travelers cannot make new bookings, and pre-trip reminders and daily summaries are paused. Travelers with existing bookings can still change or cancel them, and the Store must continue to handle them properly.
  • If the Store wishes to stop using the Platform, please contact the platform team. Such requests are currently handled manually: the store page is unpublished and member accounts are removed. Completed booking records and audit logs that must be retained for accounting, auditing or legal requirements will continue to be kept with restricted use.

9. Limitation of liability

The Platform strives to keep its services stable but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Company is not liable for compensation when the Store's operations are affected by system maintenance, force majeure or outages of third-party services (such as LINE or email services), except where the Company acted intentionally or with gross negligence. Service content and fees not covered by these terms are governed by separate written agreements between the Company and the Store.

10. Changes to these terms and versions

The version of these terms is their effective date. If these terms are changed, a new version will be published on the Platform and store members will be prompted to read it in the merchant console; earlier versions remain available in the version history on the terms page.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Both parties agree to first seek to resolve any dispute arising from these terms through good-faith negotiation. If litigation is necessary, the district court where the Company is located shall be the court of first instance.

The version of a document is its effective date. Published versions are never modified; changes are published as a new version.
